Luminary - Summer Industry Course
Environment Artist | Project Manager
Luminary is a video game that was created during the Summer Industry Course (SIC) at Texas A&M University. For this course, accepted students were to create a game in ten weeks under the guidance of industry professionals. During the development of Luminary, teams of five students worked with video game company Bluepoint Games, a PlayStation studio.
Theme: Monsters

For this game, I took on the roles of environment and prop artist. I modeled, UV unwrapped, and surfaced tons of assets, then placed them in our fantasy environment. At the start of the SIC, I was a novice 3D modeler and look development artist. However, the fast-paced environment of the course forced me to create well-made assets efficiently and in a timely manner.
Creating Luminary was an experience I was extremely thrilled to be a part of. I had never made a video game before, and with the help of the industry mentors, they made the entire process fun and engaging.
